Beyond
Sausage – from plant-based protein giant Beyond Meat – has rolled out to a number of retail
stores across the US this month, and can now be found at whole Foods nationwide.
Much like
the Beyond Burger, the plant-based sausage is made to resemble meat, described
on the website as ‘the world’s first plant-based sausage that looks, sizzles,
and satisfies like pork’.
The sausage
is currently available in Brat Original, Hot Italian, and Sweet Italian flavor – all of which contain 16 grams of protein per serving.
Beyond Meat
The rise of
popularity of Beyond Meat products has resulted in massive success in Hong
Kong, availability at a series of restaurants throughout North America, and
explosive demand for the products starting as early as 2017.
Also
offered in the Beyond Meat lineup are the Beyond Burger, Chicken Strips, and
Beyond Beef Crumble.
The company
is currently spreading the word at world-famous music festival Coachella,
serving up burgers to festival goers all weekend, and sharing the event via
Instagram.
