Budget pub chain Wetherspoons has added a vegan Full English breakfast to its menu.

The meal, which will be served until noon every day, joins dishes like curry, jacket potato, and teriyaki noodles on the pub’s vegan menu.

“We’re super excited to announce that you can now find our Quorn Vegan Best of British Sausages on the NEW JD Wetherspoon breakfast menu,” said Quorn on Twitter, announcing the new dish. “Our delicious sausages are served with hash browns, mushroom, tomato and toast. And the best bit, its served until 12 noon every day!”

Beans

Some people have noticed that the vegan breakfast listing is missing baked beans – usually a staple in the dish.

This is because earlier this year it was revealed that the beans used by Wetherspoons – Heinz No Added Sugar – are not suitable for vegans due to an unnamed animal-derived ingredient in the flavoring.

A statement released by JD Wetherspoon at the time said: “The only meals affected are jacket potato with beans (adult and children’s meals) as we claim that they are both vegan meals. Amended dietary menus will be reprinted and sent to pubs.”
