High street eatery Wagamama is rolling out its highly-anticipated vegan Seitan Katsu Curry dish nationwide from tomorrow as part of its new plant-based offerings.

The dish, which is currently only available at the brand’s ‘Noodle Lab’ locations in central London, features a breaded seitan cutlet in curry sauce.

Other new options will include a revamp of the Mixed Mushroom and Panko Aubergine Hirato Steamed Buns, as well as a Summer Salad.

‘Innovative’

Vegan blogger, Yes It’s All Vegan, took to Instagram Stories to say: “This is not a drill. Vegan Katsu going live nationwide from tomorrow.”

Sam McKay – a General Manager in Wagamama’s Cheltenham branch, added: “The Vegatsu is our most exciting addition to the menu in a long time.

“After trialling at our exciting new test kitchen, Noodlelab on Dean street, London, feedback was just so great we had to roll it out across the rest of our restaurants.”

The Vegan Society, which has registered the dishes with its trademark, said: “Thanks Wagamama for the delicious and innovative vegan options.”
