Vegan ‘Wicked Healthy’ Cookbook Released By Chefs Derek And Chad Sarno

1 Minutes Read

The Wicked Healthy Cookbook by the top plant-based chef-brothers, Derek and Chad Sarno is available in the UK from today.

The brothers have made huge waves on the plant-based food scene this year, after launching their Wicked Kitchen range of vegan ready meals in UK supermarket Tesco – of which Derek is Chef-Director of Plant-Based Innovation.

Their book – which has a foreword penned by fellow vegan Woody Harrelson – features a host of recipes in their trademark style including Plant-Based BLT, King Satay with Spicy Peanut-Ginger Sauce and Almond Meringue Cookies.

‘Finally here’

Speaking about the release, the brothers said: “OMFG it’s finally here! Let’s all eat more friggin plants – if you didn’t get the memo they’re the friggin coolest things to eat.

“Every time you eat plants and foods free from animals, you’re practising compassion – and the world needs a sh*tload more crave-able, delicious compassion.”

Derek Sarno believes 2018 is the year that veganism goes mainstream, telling Plant Based News: “Plant-based awareness has grown exponentially over the past 10 years and we are on the crest of this wave of compassion that is not slowing down.

“The more people eat plants – the more compassion we can spread. This is here to stay and, and it’s far beyond a trend. This is a very exciting year ahead and there’s lots more to follow.

“This is just the beginning.”
