A snack company has recalled a product that contained milk but was labeled suitable for vegans.

The affected Sea Salt and Vinegar Veg Crunchers by Graze, which is owned by Unilever, have best before dates of 20 June, 28 June and 2 July 2019.

Graze has apologized for its ‘incorrect vegan claim’ and told customers not to eat the product if they have allergies.

Safety of customers

“Graze is recalling Sea Salt & Vinegar Veg Crunchers because it has been incorrectly labeled as suitable for vegans, however the product contains milk,” said the Food Standards Agency.

“This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.”

“The health and safety of our customers is of the utmost importance to us,” said a spokesperson for Graze.
