Vegan brand, Qwrkee, has debuted its dairy-free pea milk in the UK, available to buy in Whole Foods Market stores and online at Amazon UK.

As nutritious as dairy milk

Retailing at £3.00 per one-liter carton, Qwrkee, whose vision is to ‘bring plant-based tasty nutrition without any compromise’, also offers a 20 percent subscription discount.

The company claims its pea milk is as nutritious as dairy milk, as it is high in Omega 3 and protein, as well as being a source of fiber, calcium, iron, iodine, phosphorous and vitamins B2, B12, D, and A.

“It’s great in latte’s, in breakfast cereal or porridge, making smoothies and even in cooking,” its website reads.

Low carbon footprint

Qwrkee’s dairy-free milk is also good for the environment, with 60 percent less water footprint than dairy milk, 35 percent less than almond, and 20 percent less than soy.

Similarly, the company claims its pea milk has a 90 percent less carbon footprint than dairy milk, 50 percent less than soy, and 35 percent less than almond.

Qwrkee also stocks vegan jerky, made from soy protein, and priobiotic puffs, which has been dubbed as ‘the world’s first probiotic snack’.
