Vegan pie and mash shop Young Vegans has opened its doors, making it the first eatery of its kind in London’s Camden.

Following two years of serving decadent plant-based fare as a pop-up, owners Carla and Marco Casadei have launched their permanent site in Camden Lock Market.

Young Vegans is known for its pies, including the seitan and ale, curry, sweet potato – which are served with creamy mash and gravy – as well as its all-day breakfast options.

The innovative shop has also made waves recently when it released a vegan cheeseburger pie.

In celebration of World Vegan Day on November 1, the eatery will also be launching a limited edition mac & cheese pie.

Young Vegans will continue to trade at the Hackney Downs Vegan Market every Saturday.

The pie and mash shop will also add a brand new item to its menu this weekend (October 27), a pie in honor of high profile blogger Fat Gay Vegan – called Dia Del Fat Gay Vegan – which consists of seitan carnitas, refried black beans, cheese topped with vegan sour cream, and served with hash browns.
