A vegan and vegetarian food delivery system will soon be launching in Glasgow.
Bike messenger James Tait founded FFWD Bicycle Messengers in a bid to deliver exclusively vegan and veggie takeaways, as well as fresh produce throughout the city.
Tait is currently looking to sign several agreements with Glasgow eateries that will allow him to deliver meat-free food.
‘Different’
The bike messenger told news outlet Glasgow Live that he became unhappy with delivering unhealthy eats.
He said: “Delivering death to a sick population never sat right with me, so I’m offering something different, something healthy.
“I’ve had contracts for food delivery before and was having to go to McDonalds and places like that – I didn’t last long.
“I don’t want to rubbish the food gigs out there, I just want to offer something different.”
The messenger become vegan himself four months ago.
Available
He went on to say: “I’m a bike messenger so I’m in town all day every day and I live on the edge of the city centre so i’m available at night as well, when people want [to be] fed.
“I’d say just get in touch – I’ll bend over backwards to do what you want. It’s the whole spectrum – and as long as I get to ride my bike, I’m not bothered where I go.”
Tait is encouraging Glasgow citizens to contact him for fruits and vegetables deliveries – day and night.
