A company that makes sweet vegan hummus spreads has been funded with $600,000 by personality billionaire Mark Cuban.
The Boston-based company, Delighted By, has been backed by the businessman on ABC’s ‘Shark Tank’ this week – a TV show which sees entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to various investors.
Cuban chose to invest in the hummus business venture, in exchange for 12 percent of the company shares.
Spreads
Delighted By‘s desserts feature dessert hummus spreads with flavors including vanilla bean, choc-o-mint, brownie batter, and snickerdoodle.
According to the brand’s ethos, Delighted By aims to be ‘a part of the shift in the food industry’.
The chickpea spreads, which are also gluten-free non-GMO, and free from soy and peanuts, are already available in stores throughout the The States.
