Australian
supermarket chain Coles has recalled two chocolate products carrying the label ‘suitable
for vegans’ after discovering that both contain dairy.

Recalled
products include the 100 gram portions of Coles Sugar Free Dark Chocolate and Coles
Sugar Free Dark Chocolate with Almond and Cranberry – no matter the date of production.

Coles has apologised
to consumers for ‘any inconvenience’ the error may have caused.

‘Undeclared
allergen’

The ‘undeclared
allergen’ also puts those with dairy allergies and intolerances at risk.

The company
has advised that anyone who may have health complications seek medical help
immediately.

Full refund

Coles has
offered a full refund to anyone who has purchased the incorrectly labelled bars.

In-store customers
can return the bars to a Coles location of their choice.

customers should are advised to call Coles Online at 1-800-455-400.
