‘Vegan Chicken Sausage Rolls’ Launch In 800 Tesco Stores Across UK

A range of vegan meat-alternative products from The Fry Family Food Co is now available in 800 Tesco stores nationwide.

The line includes a brand new, twin-pack Chicken-Style Sausage Roll, a Mediterranean Veg & Squash Slice, and three pies including a Chicken-Style Country Mushroom Pie, Pepper Steak-Style Pie, and Curry Pie.

In addition, new products will launch in the freezer section from October 29, including Chicken-Style Strips and Chicken-Style Burgers.

‘Exciting times’

“These are exciting times indeed for vegan food companies,” Tammy Fry, International Marketing Director at The Fry Family Food Co. said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

“The rise of the plant-based lifestyle is showing absolutely no signs of stopping, and the demand for innovative meat alternatives is growing by the day…people across the globe are looking to reduce their meat consumption for a wealth of reasons; not just for animal welfare, but for the negative impact of the meat industry on the environment too.

“Because of this, we’re delighted to be able to keep increasing the availability of delicious plant-based food, and to announce the start of our exciting new relationship with the biggest supermarket group in the UK.

“The chicken-style sausage rolls in particular are a brand new product launching exclusively with Tesco, so we can’t wait to hear what Fry’s fans think – and we are sure they’ll be excited to know they can now get hold of some of their favourite Fry’s products in the chilled and frozen sections of a nearby Tesco store.”

Fry’s products are also available in Holland & Barrett stores nationwide, in-store and online at Sainsbury’s and Morrison’s, and online at Ocado.com.
