Vegan company Violife has been named as the fastest growing brand within the free-from and cheese sector, growing at a rate of 78.5 percent*.

Violife features twice in The Grocer’s Top Products Survey, in both the Top 20 most successful cheese (no. 19) and free-from (no. 20) brands.

The listing marks the first time the vegan alternative to cheese brand has made the top 20, which Violife says ‘demonstrates the rapid growth of the dairy-free cheese alternative sector in 2018 as plant-based products thrive within the mainstream markets’.

“We’re delighted to have received recognition from across the grocery retail and vegan industry for our range of dairy-free alternatives to cheese,” Simon Orchard, UK & Ireland Country Manager for Violife, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

To be the fastest growing brand not only within the free-from but also the cheese sector demonstrates the increasing popularity, not only of Violife, but also of following dairy-free, plant-based lifestyle.”

*Percentage value sales according to Nielson Scantrack (Sept ’17-’18), as announced in The Grocer’s Top Products of 2018 (issue: December 15, 2018)
