A new vegan coffee shop will be opening its doors in Croydon, London in the first week of February.
Coffee Shotter, which has ambitions to be the best café in south London, will ‘address the need for more plant-based alternatives’.
Vegan
“We feel that there needs to be more options for vegan food in general,” owner Farouk Deen told local news outlet Croydon Advertiser.
“I’m not a vegan, but members of my company are. We always look at it as a unit and we have vegans and vegetarians who feel conscientious about it.
“One of the things that we’re keen to look at is that this is just good food whether you’re a meat eater or not – a sandwich is a good sandwich, which is what we’re looking to provide along with the best coffee, or something sweet.”
The coffee shop will have a ‘very good offering of vegan cuisine’, including sandwiches, curries, salads, and calzone – as well as doughnuts from supplier Be Right Bake.
‘The very best’
Farouk said he plans on making Coffee Shotter the best coffee shop in the south London area.
He explained: “We’re going very high end. We’ve got aspirations to be the very best coffee shop in south London.
“We’ve gone for top quality local British suppliers who take care about where they source their food.
“We want to show our attention to detail and care, making sure we champion British independent companies.”
