Plant-based burger company, The Vurger Co, has announced it will open its first permanent site in east London on March 12.

The Shoreditch site will be created using proceeds from the company’s hugely successful crowdfunding campaign last year, in which it raised 166 percent of its target figure within 72 hours – proving to be Crowdcube’s fastest ever restaurant raise.

The venue will seat around 30 people and will serve beer, wine, and soft drinks alongside food.

All packaging, including straws, used by The Vurger Co is compostable.

Menu

The Vurger Co’s full menu will include its best-selling Tabasco Auburger, made from aubergines, chickpeas, red onion and vegan cheese, as well as mac’n’cheese and shakes.

Other dishes will include the Classic, the Mexican and the MLT, made from baked mushrooms and rocket and topped with walnut and sundried tomato paste.

Perfect match

Rachel Hugh, Founder of The Vurger Co said: ”We couldn’t be happier, we have lived in east London for over 10 years and we adore its vibe and authenticity.

“We have traded in the area for two years through various pop-ups, events and festivals so moving into Shoreditch was the perfect match for The Vurger Co.

“We just can’t wait to get started and continue to revolutionize fast food through the power of plants.”
