Vegan Brand The?Fry Family Food Co.?Launches New Plant-Based Products

Vegan food brand The Fry Family Food Co. has launched four new plant-based products, which are available online at

The new artisan chilled items include two types of sausages and two Middle Eastern-inspired savoury bites.

These items take the full line up to 17 products – including boxed pies, grab-and-go pastries and ready to cook meat-style stir-fry strips.


The new items include smoked hotdogs and Lincolnshire-style sausages, which a spokesperson for the brand says are ‘a great centrepiece to any home-cooked, hearty meal, and delicious served with mashed potatoes and vegan gravy’.

The two different Middle Eastern-inspired savoury bites are made from chickpea and roasted butternust squash, and seasoned. They are designed to be eaten as a snack or part of a meal.

In a statement to Plant Based News, Tammy Fry, International Marketing Director at The Fry Family Food Co. said: “We were delighted with the response we received following the launch of our chilled range at the end of last year.”


She added: “While our frozen products will always be central to our offering, we know it is important to adapt and move with changing customer demands – particularly for tasty products they can simply heat and eat.

“We’re thrilled to be able to expand our chilled range with the introduction of four new products which I am sure will be a hit with our customers.

“We’ve seen a huge spike in interest of veganism over the last few years, so for us it’s a very exciting time to be sharing even more quality, delicious products with an ever-growing audience.”


The new additions are part of Ocado’s bid to expand it’s plant-based offering. Earlier this year, the online retailer added 90 vegan options to its range.

Speaking to Plant Based News at the time, Jacques Thudichum, Buying Manager at Ocado, said: “Veganism and flexitarianism have seen a real surge in popularity in recent years, with plant-based alternatives becoming a key focus for us. 

“We’re constantly expanding our range to offer new and exciting products, keeping ahead of key trends and meeting customer demand. 

“This month we’re adding over 90 products to our vegan offering – meaning we now offer the largest vegan range of any UK supermarket. Through our dedicated vegan webshop we hope to provide customers with everything they need, whether looking for simple swaps or fully embracing the vegan trend.” 

The new products are currently available exclusively at The full chilled range can also be found in 600 Holland & Barrett stores nationwide.
