Vegan company Fry’s has won the Taste Innovation Award at the world’s biggest food show, Anuga FoodTec Trade Show 2017.
The brand’s plant-based Flaxseed Schnitzels were chosen out of more than 2,300 products.
There were more than 7,800 exhibitors from 100 countries at the huge event.
The show, which was held last week in Cologne, Germany was visited by 160,000 people from around the world.
‘Honored’
A Fry’s spokesperson said: “We are honored and grateful to have been selected for this year’s award.
“Fry’s has been making innovative products since 1991, before veganism was on trend.
“For us, it was just about making great tasting, plant based food, for our own needs as a family.
“Now we estimate that approximately 4 million people eat our products on a weekly basis.”
“We commit to continue crafting the best tasting, most innovative, ethical, plant based food for our consumers.”
