The veganBeyond Burger will launch in all 29 branches of Honest Burgers nationwide on Wednesday.
The high-tech patty was initially trialed in the King’s Cross (London) outlet from July, making Honest Burgers the first restaurant in Europe to it.
Now thanks to what the restaurant describes as ‘a hugely successful exclusive run’, the burger will be on menus ‘from Brixton to Bristol’.

The patty is available as part of Honest Burgers’ vegan ‘Plant’ burger, featuring Rubies in the Rubble’s vegan chipotle ‘mayo’ (made with aquafaba, a protein-rich water left over from cooking chickpeas – no waste), smoked vegan gouda cheese, French’s mustard, red onion, and lettuce.
According to Honest Burgers, around two thirds of its Plant customers were vegetarians and vegans – with some traveling hundreds of miles to taste the burger – and a third were meat-eaters aiming to dip into a plant-based diet.

‘Beyond is the best vegan burger’
“We work hard to make sure our burgers are the best possible quality,” Tom Barton, co-founder of Honest Burgers, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.
“Last year that meant becoming the first and only burger chain in the UK to open its own butchery. Going forward that means serving the best meat and plant-based burgers side-by-side.
“There are a lot of new plant-based burgers on the market but the Beyond Meat patty is hands-down the best – it has a great bite, a tender texture and sears like meat. And unlike many of its competitors, it’s gluten-free and uses no GMO ingredients.”
The Plant Burger comes with a portion of homemade rosemary salted chips for £11.50 all in.
