Park City,
Utah mayor Andy Beerman is trying a plant-based diet – and encouraging others
to join him.

‘Join me’

Beerman
started his ten-day vegan challenge May 14, and took to Facebook to inform his
followers.

He wrote: “I
encourage anyone curious to join me for a try.”

‘Fun’

He has
added updates as his challenge has gone on.

He wrote: “Eating
requries more planning, but the food has been good and its fun trying some of
the alternatives like Almond cheese (surprisingly good), Beyond Meat burgers,
and soy ice cream (really good).”

‘Impact’

The city
representative has also taken time to investigate the impact of food choices on
the environment.

He wrote: “Last
night we watched Cowspiracy and I would recommend it to everyone.

“Its
amazing how our food choices impact the planet.

“Not too
late to join the challenge – try it for even just a day or two and let me know
what you think.”
