Protein bar company NuGo Nutrition has released a range of vegan and gluten-free pea cookie products.
In a bid to satisfy the growing demand for plant-based treats, the U.S. brand has launched the non-GMO cookies that are available in four flavors: peanut butter chocolate, double chocolate, oatmeal raisin, and dark chocolate chip.
Each pack of plant-based cookies contains 16g of protein and 12g of fiber.
‘Proud’
The new vegan treats are joining the already existing plant-based line of gluten-free bars: NuGo Dark, NuGo Free, and four NuGo Slim flavors.
NuGo CEO David Levine said: “We’re proud to have made a deliciously baked cookie satisfying the consumer demand for plant-based protein products that cater to many lifestyles.
“Consumers who eat gluten-free and vegan can now enjoy the classic cookie flavours they crave, while getting the protein and fibre they need.”
The protein cookies are now available online, and they will also be hitting the shelves of Whole Foods stores across the U.S. soon.
