A UK city centre is set to be shut down – as the area’s biggest-ever vegan festival takes place.

Wolverhampton Vegan Festival is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the event will be the most elaborate yet, with organizers saying roads will be closed all weekend.

Affected roads are Red Lion Street, Mitre Fold, and North Street.

Celebrate

The annual fest, which will take place on October 28-29 in and outside the Wolverhampton Civic Halls and Art Gallery, is the UK’s longest-running exclusively vegan festival.

There will be more than 170 stalls offering food, cosmetics and skincare, and clothing, as well as live entertainment, cookery demos, and more.

Biggest

According to organizer Kevin White: “I have been really inspired this year – with a big expansion for the event’s 10th Anniversary Special, which is my most ambitious challenge yet – with more attractions, stalls, and space than ever before!

“This will be a unique event, on a massive scale, promoting and celebrating the vegan lifestyle like never before!”

Marathon veteran Fiona Oakes will open the event, as well as offer talks on both days.
