UK-based supermarket chain Tesco’s has launched a vegan mac and cheese in its free-from section.

The new dairy-free, vegan product launched on Monday.

A Tesco spokesperson told PBN that the new product is available in 330 stores, as well as online.

The macaroni pasta uses fortified soya milk and coconut oil, as an alternative to medium fat hard cheese.

Commonplace

Labelled free-from products have become commonplace in British retailers, especially in Tesco and Sainsbury’s.

Sainsbury’s has also recently added a cheesy vegan pizza to their shelves.
