Italian chain eatery Zizzi has launched a new vegan pizza dish in celebration of Veganuary.

The new ‘Arcobaleno’ pizza, which is available throughout the month of January, features the UK’s favorite superfood, the avocado.

It has been designed in collaboration with The World Avocado Organization especially for Veganuary, which encourages people to try veganism in January – and has a record number of sign-ups this year, with more than 135,000 people so far taking part.

Pizza

The new plant-based dish, which retails for £10.75, has been named after the Italian word for rainbow, due to its colorful display.

Toppings include ‘pink beetroot beetballs’, sun blushed tomatoes, chilli ‘threads’, purple basil, and avocado, atop dairy-free cheese.

Offer

Zizzi’s has also announced it will be offering a 2 for 1 deal on all vegan main meals this month .

This includes the new Arcobaleno pizza, as well as the rest of the chain’s widely popular vegan menu.

The offer is available Sunday – Thursday between January 2-31, and is valid for a maximum of eight people.

‘Ticking multiple boxes’

Jo Fawcett, marketing director at Zizzi said: “We wanted to create another dish for our menu that ticks multiple boxes for customers by using ingredients that our diners love, and avocado continues to be one of the key ingredients requested at Zizzi.

“Taking New Year dietary commitments into consideration, whether you’re embracing Dry January or Veganuary, Zizzi has got you covered.”
