UK-based supermarket Asda has published a seven-day vegan challenge in its latest issue of Asda Good Living Magazine.
The feature includes practical tips and daily meal ideas for those wanting to give plant-based eating a try.
Asda chef Andrew Johnson has taken on the vegan challenge himself, with the September magazine following him day-by-day.

Johnson gave insight on how he ditched animal-based products from his diet for the week, and included recipes such as Classic Ratatouille and Hearty Sweet Potato, Chickpea and Cauliflower Curry.
“There are vegan versions of everything you can think of, from sushi to scrambled eggs, as well as alternative products like milk, cheese, and ice cream,” the chef wrote in the feature.
Johnson confessed that eating a vegan diet for a week wasn’t easy, but ‘it’s inspired [him] to eat more plant-based meals’.
The British chef also revealed that they are brainstorming ideas at Asda, including developing own-brand vegan products like hazelnut milk.
Earlier this year, Asda became the first supermarket to commit to using the official ‘Vegan’ trademark on its produce.
