Vegan eatery Suncafe, located in Los Angeles, has announced it will donate 100 percent of its profits from four consecutive days to charities supporting the Black Lives Matter Movement.

From June 3 – 6, all profits raised from dine-in, take out, and delivery will be donated to Campaign Zero, a platform dedicated to ending police brutality in America, and The Bali Project – an organization helping ‘post bail for people who can’t afford it, reuniting families and restoring the presumption of innocence’.

‘Compassion and inclusion’

On Instagram, Suncafe also paid tribute to George Floyd, who was killed by police, stating: “The Sun Cafe family is deeply appalled by the murder of George Floyd and the countless other lives taken unjustly.

“As an establishment that prides itself on compassion and inclusion both within and outside our walls, we stand with those speaking up and working towards building a better world for all.”

Support + Feed

Suncafe is also part of the Support + Feed initiative, spearheaded by Billie Eilish’s mom Maggie Baird, that helps feed the vulnerable amid the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

The public is encouraged people to gift order food for those in need, the donations will then be delivered to vetted organizations and groups including first responders, hospitals, senior centers, food shelters, and women’s shelters.
