Global coffee chain Starbucks has launched a new vegan range across the UK, as part of its plans to cater to the growing plant-based audience.

The new line features four products – which are available in stores across the UK.

They include two wraps – kale, jalapeno and slaw, and sweet potato falafel, as well as a raspberry chocolate cake, and mango fruit pot.

Meeting demand

The launch follows a pledge by Starbucks COO Rosalind Brewer to increase the chain’s vegan options. During a shareholder meeting in March Brewer said: “We have a line that we’d love to share with our customers later this year, so it is in our plans.

“We know our customers ask us that repeatedly, and we’ll be responding.”

The new UK vegan products follow the launch of oat milk and Starbuck’s bbq jackfruit wrap – which the company said were requested by customers.
