Shoe company Converse has launched a vegan line in partnership with professional skater – and vegan – Kenny Anderson earlier this month.
The ‘Cons X Chocolate Kenny‘ collection includes three Chuck Taylor-style unisex shoes made from recycled canvas and animal-free glue, and two cotton shirts.
Anderson has hosted a series of launch parties in celebration of the Convese release, where he insisted that only vegan food be served at the event.

The athlete told VegNews he discovered veganism over three years ago, when he found out about the environmental impact of eating animals.
“I want animals to live and die naturally,” Anderson says.
“We can give more to this earth than we take.”
The professional skater has created the Converse line as ‘part of aligning [his] actions with [his] values’.
Kenny Anderson will also be speaking at Moby’s upcoming Circle V vegan festival in LA in November – which also headlines Waka Flocka Flame, Reggie Watts, and DREAMCAR.
