UK grocer,
Sainsbury’s has released three new flavors of vegan ice-cream.

Technically
classified by the company as an ‘Iced Dessert’ – the creamy, coconut oil based
treat comes in vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry flavour.

The dessert
is part of the grocery chain’s Deliciously Free From line, which focuses on
being inclusive of all different diets – keeping the products free of wheat,
gluten, soy, egg, and milk – and offers a range of vegan options.

Growing
trend

The vegan
ice-cream trend has seen considerable growth in recent years – with Breyers, Häagen-Dazs,
and Ben and Jerry’s jumping on the plant-based ice cream bandwagon, and now
Sainsbury’s following suit.

The chain’s
new Iced Desserts are available in store for £3.50 per 500-milliliter tub.
