Burger chain Red Robin has kicked off the new year by releasing an easy-to-veganize burger – to be available at restaurants nationwide, starting immediately.

With more than 560 locations in the United States, and relatively low pricing, the Gourmet Veggie Burger is set to increase accessibility of vegan-friendly options.

In addition to the burger, which is vegan when served in a lettuce bun, topped with tomato, avocado, and bruschetta salsa, PETA lists a variety of other vegan options, including sweet potato fries, hummus, and steamed broccoli.

‘Resolution friendly’

Dana Benfield, senior vice president of the chain, says the burgers are there to help their consumers stay ‘on track’ with New Years resolutions – whether they are to ‘eat healthy, try new things, or stick to a budget’.

She added: “The New Year often calls for changes and resolutions and at Red Robin, we’re no different.”
