Pret A Manger will open a new all-veggie outlet in Manchester next month – the first of its kind outside London.
The Deansgate location was chosen following customer demand, with the chain eatery saying it received hundreds of requests on social media to open Veggie Prets in more cities.
The first Veggie Pret opened in Soho in 2016 as a pop-up – but was so successful the brand made it permanent, adding new locations in 2017.
New locations
“When we asked customers on social media where they’d like to see the next Veggie Pret, Manchester was the top request,” Hannah Dolan, Head of Food Development at Pret, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.
“We’re delighted to be able to reveal today that the city is our next location.
“Veggie Pret is still growing and the future is looking as green as ever. We want customers to keep telling us what they think – and where they’d like to see Veggie Pret next.”
New vegan options
The Manchester store will offer many of the same vegan dishes as the three London stores.
The menu will include multiple vegan options, including new Almond Butter Bites and Dark Chocolate Salted Almonds.
It will also feature classic Veggie Pret options like Vegan Mac & Greens, and the Chakalaka Wrap.
