Sandwich giant Pret a Manger will be giving away free vegan cookies in its UK stores on Friday August 16.

The high street eatery will be giving away its Dark Chocolate & Almond Butter Cookies from 3pm until 4pm (or until stocks last) at Pret and Veggie Pret shops nationwide.

To claim their cookie, customers should head to a participating Pret shop and quote the password to a team member behind the counter. The password will be revealed on Pret’s social channels on Thursday August 15.

According to Pret, the cookie – which features dark chocolate with almond butter and a little sea salt – has become one of its best-selling sweet treats since its launch in Spring 2018.

“We know our Dark Chocolate & Almond Butter Cookie is one of our customers’ favorites – we’ve had hundreds of messages from vegans and non-vegans alike, telling us how much they love it,” Hannah Dolan, Global Head of Food Innovation at Pret, said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

“Enjoy it on us this Friday afternoon. It’s delicious when paired with a cup of our organic coffee or English Breakfast Tea!”

*Please note – the cookie is not suitable for nut allergy sufferers. In addition, the cookie dough may have come into contact with dairy at the bakery where it is produced, and therefore this item may contain traces of dairy.
