The plant-based foodies behind BOSH! have said that ‘veganism isn’t a fad diet’.

Henry Firth and Ian Theasby are releasing their first book – BOSH!: Simple Recipes. Amazing Food. All Plants in the UK tomorrow (and in the US in early May).

The tome is already a number one Amazon bestseller in the Quick & Easy Meals list – beating off stiff competition from the likes of Joe Wicks and Jamie Oliver.

‘Not a fad’

Although some people have labeled the rise of veganism a trend, Firth and Theasby are keen to point out it’s not just a fad diet.

According to Firth: “A fad diet would be based on poor science and driven by a few key individuals, but veganism has none of that.

“It’s backed by good science. The UN is suggesting we need to eat less meat, while the World Health Organisation is talking about the negative impact of processed meats.

“It’s about long-lasting change, driven from lots of different angles, compared to fad diets that are quite niche. We would love it if everyone ate more plants. People need to think more about what meats they eat, because right now the way we approach it is not sustainable.”

The boys made a recent vlog about the cookbook

‘Chuffed’

The boys told Plant Based News they are delighted about the book’s success so far, saying: “We are absolutely chuffed that the BOSH! book has made it into the bestseller lists.

“Thanks to every single person who has bought the book, and all the amazing people who are bringing plant-based and vegan food into the mainstream.

“So much love. So much happy. So much plants.”
