A plant-based bacon cheeseburger is being launched in a UK burger chain next month.

The ‘Bacon Plant’ burger – which features Beyond Meat‘s popular patty topped with bacon from THIS – will be available from Honest Burgers outlets from January 2 to February 3.

There are almost 40 Honest Burgers restaurants nationwide, with branches across London, in Manchester, Bristol, and Cardiff among other locations.

A spokesperson for THIS told Plant Based News: “We’re collaborating with Honest Burgers on the launch of the Bacon Plant burger for Veganuary from January 2 to February 3.

“It is a celebration of THIS™ Isn’t Bacon, combining it with the world’s first THIS™ Isn’t bacon ketchup, a plant-based burger, vegan smoked gouda, shoestring fries, chipotle ‘mayo’, spinach and pickles.”

Beyond Burger in the UK

Honest Burgers was the first UK outlet to sell the Beyond Burger – launching it in Summer 2018.

The plant-based patty is part of a build served with vegan cheese, chipotle mayonnaise, aquafaba mayo, lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Initially, Honest Burgers only trialed the burger in one central London location. Following a successful response, it was rolled out to all outlets.
