Comfort food giant Pizza Hut will be trialling vegan cheese at a number of locations in the UK.

Only five branches will offer the vegan cheese – made by Violife – on its trademark greasy pizzas.

A Pizza Hut Restaurants Spokesperson told PBN: “We can confirm that trials for a vegan cheese pizza are set to start in October.

“Pop down to our stores in Bluewater, Canterbury, Chatham, Crawley and Thanet to give it a go!”

The cheese will be trialled for a few weeks, between October 11 and November 26.

If the chain rolls out the cheese to other locations, it will follow in the footsteps of other nationals like Ask, Zizzi, and Pizza Express, which all have plant-based pizzas on the menu.
