Pizza Hut has launched a new vegan menu across its 253 UK outlets.
The new options follow the success of the chain eatery’s January vegan launch, the Jack ‘n’ Cheese pizza, which hugely exceeded Pizza Hut’s public sales target.
Launching the new dishes, the pizza giant said: “We’ve been proudly serving Vegan Pizza with Violife’s Vegan Ch**se since 2017 – and we’ve used your feedback to help design our new Vegan Menu.”
In addition to a selection of vegan-friendly pizzas – which feature dairy-free cheese – Pizza Hut now offers Jack ‘n’ Rolls, which are dough rolls filled with sweet chilli, BBQ jackfruit and vegan cheese, as a starter or side, corn on the cob as aside, and Cinnamon Bites for dessert.
Vegan pizza
Following the success of the Jack ‘n’ Cheese pizza, which features a tomato base, non-dairy cheese alternative, sweetcorn, red onions, peppers, and BBQ Jackfruit with a BBQ drizzle, it is now a permanent fixture on the menu.
In addition, diners can choose a Margherita, the Vegan Virtuous Veg pizza – with cheese, spinach, mixed peppers, red onions, mushrooms & cherry tomatoes topped with rocket, or the Veggie Vegan pizza, cheese, spinach, sweetcorn, mixed peppers, red onions, and mushrooms.
The final pizza offering is the Vegan Hot ‘N’ Spicy Veg, which is topped with cheese, peppers, jalapenos, red onions, flame roasted peppers and onions, and Hut House seasoning.
Vegan hints
Earlier this year, Pizza Hut hinted it would be launching more vegan options, after overwhelming demand for the Jack ‘n’ Cheese. After announcing that the pie was on the menu to stay, a company spokesperson wrote on Facebook: “We might have a little something extra lined up too.”
The news was well received on social media, with one vegan tweeting: “Yes Lord. The Pizza Hut vegan pizza is here to STAY! Demand & supply is HIGH in the vegan community atm we have almost doubled their target.”
Pizza Hut’s vegan dishes are available for dine-in and collection.
