Chain pizzeria Pizza Express will be launching soya milk in its restaurants on September 18, according to animal rights group Animal Aid.

The eatery already offers a number of vegan options – including dairy-free cheese for pizza and its Blackcurrant & Limoncello Semifreddo pudding.

This latest news follows the announcement that the Vegan Giardiniera Pizza – already offered at Pizza Express restaurants – will be released at Waitrose later this month.

World Vegan Day

In addition, a new vegan menu including a Peperonata pasta, a Puttanesca Pizza, and a vegan-friendly carrot cake will launch on World Vegan Day on November 1.

Timothy Love, Senior Marketing Manager at Pizza Express said that the expanding vegan menu is in response to changing food trends.

He added: “This innovation is set to continue, and we’re delighted to see such positive response to our menu.”
