The event will offer a special and unique evening celebrating fresh produce, British grains, the concept of wasting less and of course, plant-based power.
Huge amounts of food are wasted throughout December and January; this even will help to show you how easy and attainable it can be to cut down on waste, inspiring you to get creative with your produce and leftovers.
Diners will be treated to a four-course meal prepared by Soph Gordon, using seasonal fruit and veg from Oddbox and English grown grains (provided packaging-free) from BYO, which has just opened a new store in Nunhead.
“Sophie will prepare each course with the theme of zero waste in mind, so don’t be surprised if you see a vegetable feature in your desert, freshly toasted pumpkin seeds and quirky decor,” said PBN Co-founder Robbie Lockie. “The dishes prepared will hopefully help to give you some inspiration.”
Attendees will be given a choice of alcoholic or alcohol-free cocktails on arrival from Fix8 Kombucha, and freshly prepared nibbles, including the finest vegan cheese around, thanks to KindaCo.
Thomas James Smith will be playing live acoustic music throughout the course of the evening. Entertainment also includes talks by Plant Based News, Oddbox, BYO, Sophie, Immy Lucas from Sustainably Vegan – with more to be revealed.
“Bring yourself, Tupperware (in case your eyes are bigger than your stomach), a tote bag (for a DIY fruit and veg potluck), and good vibes,” said Lockie.
