Model and daughter to the late Michael Jackson, Paris Jackson, made headlines last week when she ‘stormed out’ of a Dior fashion show on the grounds of animal cruelty.
Animal use
The fashion show was reportedly inspired my ‘Mexican rodeo’ and as such used animals for entertainment.
According to Jackson, she left the event because she does ‘not support animals being branded and whipped’.
Speaking to People an inside source said: “She was uncomfortable with how the horses were being handled (the whipping sound was loud) so she quietly slipped out.”
‘Heartbroken’
Jackson took to Twitter to explain that she was ‘heartbroken’ by what she’d seen at the show although she does not intend to make ‘enemies’ in the fashion world.
She added that she has ‘no doubt that all high end fashion brands will soon switch over to no-fur and anti animal cruelty, as that seems to be the pattern here’ – a shift she says everyone should ‘be very excited about’.
