Fast-food chain Papa Johns UK has appointed its first-ever Chief Vegan Officer.
The eatery, which recently launched four new plant-based pizzas, has given the title to food blogger Clare Every, also known as The Little London Vegan on Instagram.
‘Next level’
Every, who said she was ‘honored’ to have been chosen for the job, will help the company ‘develop its vegan products and expand its plant-based offerings’.
Announcing the news on Instagram, she said: “I can’t wait to take veganism even further and to the next level in this role.
“So, yeah I guess you better start submitting your suggestions and pizza requests in the comments so that I can try and make your pizza dreams come true.”
‘A huge hit’
In a statement sent to Plant Based News, Every spoke about the eatery’s current plant-based options, stating: “We’re so excited to launch the extended vegan offering at Papa John’s and we’re expecting the new additions to the menu to be a huge hit with pizza lovers across the nation.
“With recipe innovation at the core of the brand and more people than ever adopting a vegan lifestyle, the latest launches are only just the beginning, with lots more exciting and innovative dishes launching later in the year.”
