Papa John’s Launches 4 New Meaty Vegan Pizzas With Pepperoni And Sausage

Pizza chain Papa John’s has launched four new meaty vegan pizzas across the UK.

The chain is now offering pepperoni slices out of jackfruit, as well as vegan sausage.

In addition to the pies, Papa John’s is now offering a new range of sides including Cauli Wings with a hot buffalo sauce dip and Vegan Sheese Potato Tots.

The new pies include Jackfruit Pepperoni, topped with tomato sauce, vegan Sheese, and spicy jackfruit pepperoni slices. The American Hot adds jalapeño peppers for some heat.

The Vegan Sausage & Pepperoni is topped with jackfruit pepperoni, vegan sausage and a sprinkle of Italian style seasoning on tomato sauce and vegan Sheese.

The Vegan Works is covered in tomato sauce topped with Vegan Sheese, jackfruit ‘pepperoni’, vegan sausage, portobello mushrooms, green peppers, sliced onions, and black Herrera olives.

‘A huge hit’

“We’re so excited to launch the extended vegan offering at Papa John’s and we’re expecting the new additions to the menu to be a huge hit with pizza lovers across the nation,” Clare Every, the new chief vegan officer at Papa John’s said in a statement sent to Vegan Food & Living.

“With recipe innovation at the core of the brand, and more people than ever adopting a vegan lifestyle, the latest launches are only just the beginning, with lots more exciting and innovative dishes launching later in the year.”
