Online retailer Ocado is launching what it describes as ‘the largest vegan range of any UK supermarket’ this month – with more than 90 new additions to its line.

The retailer says the new products include dairy-free ice cream alongside vegan ingredients, and other meat-free offerings.

The products will be released throughout January.

‘Surge’

Jacques Thudichum, Buying Manager at Ocado, said: “Veganism and flexitarianism have seen a real surge in popularity in recent years, with plant-based alternatives becoming a key focus for us.

“We’re constantly expanding our range to offer new and exciting products, keeping ahead of key trends and meeting customer demand.

“This month we’re adding over 90 products to our vegan offering – meaning we now offer the largest vegan range of any UK supermarket.”

Own brand

The expanded vegan offerings include the brand new Ocado ‘Own Brand’ vegan range – which includes products like vegan mince, burgers, and ‘chicken’ pieces, with prices starting at around £1.75.

Thudichum said: “Through our dedicated vegan webshop we hope to provide customers with everything they need, whether looking for simple swaps or fully embracing the vegan trend.”
