Dairy-free giant Oatly is to launch a vegan ‘chocolate deluxe’ milk in UK retailers ASDA and Ocado on September 23.

The new product, priced at £1.99, will also hit the shelves in supermarket chain Morrisons from November 11.

‘Legitimately awesome’

In a statement sent to Plant Based News, the brand said: “Oat Drink Chocolate Deluxe is creamier in the way that whole cow’s milk is creamier than the other cow’s milk – but this one is vegan, of course.

“The cocoa is UTZ certified which means that our cocoa is grown with sustainable agricultural methods and that the farmers who grow it have good working conditions with fair wages.

“So not only is it legitimately awesome, you’ll be making a difference every time you take a gulp! Drink it cold, or take a second to warm it up to create a pretty spectacular Oat Drink hot chocolate.”

The dairy-free alternative also contains a ‘good amount’ of calcium, iodine, riboflavin, vitamin D, and vitamin B12 – and has less sugar (3 percent) compared to our Oatly chocolate drinks.
