A new vegan restaurant will open its doors on the site of a former beef burger joint in central London next month.

Kalifornia Kitchen is the brainchild of vegan entrepreneur Loui Blake – who recently opened three-story plant-based eatery Erpingham House in Norwich.

Blake teamed up with luxury property investors, Henry Meek and Hussein Aziz to open his new venture on Percy Street, which will replace French burger bar, Big Fernand.


“Kalifornian Kitchen, won’t be just another vegan burger bar offering up endless fried foods,” a spokesperson said, who added that the menu will feature ‘superfood wraps, bowls and burritos’.

“The interior stylings and customer services will match the best of L.A.’s burger restaurants.

“Directed by highly-acclaimed interior designers, Berry’s & Grey, you can expect on-trend chic. Think luxury gold etched tables and pink astroturf,” they added.

A taste of Los Angeles

“I became inspired when visiting Los Angeles and seeing firsthand how vibrant and energizing not only the food but the experience was,” Blake said in a statement sent to Plant Based News.

“The settings are inspiring, and the food is creative in a way that goes entirely against the stereotypes that consider vegan foods as restrictive.

“We wanted to capture the best bits with our own spin to give Londoners a taste of this on their doorstep!”
