A London-based social enterprise start-up has launched a vegan Christmas jumper featuring wildlife expert Sir David Attenborough.

According to notjust, which raised more than £7,000 in charity donations in 2017 through its Jeremy Corbyn Christmas jumper, the jumper was designed and manufactured in the UK from 100 percent vegan materials. It features an image of Sir David, with the slogan ‘Attenbrrrrrrrrrrrr’.

In addition, for every jumper purchased, a specially designed knit will be donated to the homeless

“Last year we had an overwhelming response to our Jerry Christmas festive jumper [featuring Jeremy Corbyn], and this year we wanted to return with even more designs celebrating the individuals who have inspired the nation in 2018,” Mike Harding, Founder of notjust, told Plant Based News.

“This year we were inspired by David Attenborough’s return to our screens with Dynasties – yet another example of how precious our planet it, and why it needs our protection now more than ever.”

He added: “For this year’s charity angle, we took inspiration from England’s amazing World Cup run, and the phrase ‘it’s coming home’. It was sung throughout the nation, bringing the country together during a period of division.

“But we also saw a huge disconnect between the phrase it’s coming home and the 15,000+ on the streets without a home, so that’s why we have decided to work with the homeless this year with our profits to try and make things just a little better if we can.”
