The Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine – led by plant-based physician Dr. Neal Barnard – has released a video covering the basic health benefits of transitioning to a plant-based diet.
According to Dr. Barnard, weight loss is one of the first side effects many people will experience.

He says: “For many people the number one reason they go to a vegan diet is because weight loss is just practically automatic.
“And the beauty is it starts right away.
“Now you don’t want to go for super fast weight loss, what you want to go for is permanent weight loss.”
