A chicken restaurant may not be the first place that springs to mind when thinking about vegan food, but Nando’s has always offered several veg-friendly options (see video).

Now it looks like the chain is stepping it up when it comes to plant-based dining, and is set to add two new vegan burgers to the menu this week.

According to one source who visited the restaurant over the weekend, two new vegan burgers will launch on Tuesday.

Change

Another source claims that Nando’s is getting rid of its veggie burger that can be made vegan – and in its place it will be offering the two new burgers.

One is said to be sweet potato-based, and the other is kale, spinach and bean, seasoned with mint.

Twitter

Nando’s has taken to Twitter to drop some hints, posting a picture featuring what appears to be vegan or veggie burgers, and saying: “We’ll just leave this here…”

In the comments, the chicken eatery has also mentioned: “All will be revelead soon”, and encouraged followers to ‘keep an eye on the menu in the next couple of days’.

PBN has contacted Nandos’ press office and will update this story with any new information.
