Joisher will speak at the festival
Influencers including Will Tuttle and vegan mountaineer Kuntal Joisher are set to take the stage at Mumbai’s second Ahimsa Festival.
The event, which lasts for an epic 18 days, seeks to promote a cruelty-free lifestyle.
Films
A number of prominent plant-based films will be screened at the event.
These include What The Health, Okja, Cowspiracy, and Forks over Knives, among others.
In addition, a whole range of doctors and health consultants will be on hand to advise visitors.
According to organizers Ahimsa Parmo Dharma Group: “If food is our first medicine, then the kitchen is our first pharmacy.”
Ethics
While the event is very health-focused, there is also an important ethical element.
Organizers say: “[We want to spread an idea of compassionate living that] involves not just caring for our own health but also that of our fellow animal beings and to go beyond that to care for our planet as well.”
The event runs from October 26 to November 12.
