Called ‘veggies in blankets’, the sausages are made from tomato, potato, mushroom, and basil, and the ‘blanket’ is aubergine.
They are one item in the supermarket’s vegan Christmas range which also includes Cranberry and Pistachio Nut Roast with sticky fruit festive stuffing.
“Pigs in Blankets are arguably the best part of Christmas dinner,” Morrison’s Party Food Expert, Simon Whittle, said.
“We’ve listened to customers who are looking for more plant-based options over the festive period and created a vegan version.”
Morrisons’ Veggies in Blankets’ are available in packs of 10 in Morrisons stores nationwide and cost £2.50.
