UK supermarket Morrisons has launched a foot-long vegan sausage roll.
The pastry – called the Vegan Foot Long – weighs in at a giant 466g and costs £1.
It is available from today from the supermarket’s instore bakery counter. It is baked instore, but is so heavy, that a tray is required to buy the roll for takeaway.

The Vegan Foot Long is filled with a soy-mince mixture flavored with herbs and spices.
It was devised by Morrisons pie and pastry experts, who created their ‘no sausage’ roll and vegan ‘Corn-ish’ pasty earlier this year, and wanted to take their vegan offerings a step further.
“Our original foot-long sausage roll caught the imagination of the nation so we’ve worked hard to make sure everyone – including vegans – can now tuck into our creation,” said Morrisons Pie Expert, Steven Halford. “Sharing is optional.”
