Veggie and vegan brand Quorn – famous for its alternative meat-style products – is set to ramp up production to meet the growing demand for meat-free food.
The company posted increased global sales of 19 per cent over the first half of 2017, with UK sales booming by 15 per cent.
Quorn Chief Executive, Kevin Brennan, said: “We’re actually tracking ahead of expected growth. We’re very pleased with the breadth of growth around world; strong UK as well as growth and general progress in US and other international markets.”

The company will now invest hundreds of millions of pounds building up its infrastructure as part of plans to become a ‘billion dollar brand’ over the next 10 years.
A £150 million investment in its Teeside facility will see 300 jobs being created.
According to Quorn, this investment will make the facility the biggest of its kind in the world.
