Fast food giant McDonald’s will be launching its first vegetarian burger in France this week.

The burger, which is named ‘Le Grand Veggie’, features a carrot and salsify patty, topped with red and white cabbage, a red pesto sauce on a bun with pumpkin, sesame, and poppy seeds – as well as dairy cheese.

It is currently unknown whether the burger can be made vegan.

The veggie burger will make its debut at French locations on October 10.

This follows the launch of a McVegan burger in Finland, and a vegan-friendly McVeggie in Noway.
